VIDEO OF LARSEN FAMILY RESCUE AVAILABLE IN MIAMI

MIAMI, Fla. -- Hoist video taken by one of the Coast Guard rescue helicopters will be made available at the Brickell Federal Plaza.  Interested media are asked to contact 305-415-6683.

Edward and Tina Larson and their three children were located about 2:30 p.m. today off of Everglades City on a mangrove island.

They were transferred to Fort Myers Southwest Regional Airport by a HH-60 helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Fla. at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The family is in good condition and not in need of medical attention.  They are currently being interviewed by Coast Guard officials to determine how they came to be stranded.

The search for the Larsen family began after a call was received by Coast Guard Station Fort Myers Beach at 8:42 last night from a family friend reporting that the Larsens were due to return home to Cape Coral from Marathon on their 24-foot vessel Sea Note.

Commercial salvage arrangements will be made to retrieve the Sea Note.
