Coast Guard searching for missing swimmer near St. John's River south jetties

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are responding to a report of a missing swimmer near the St. John's River south jetties Friday.

The missing swimmer is described as a 30-year-old male with dark hair. The reporting source indicates the swimmer was last seen near the jetty rocks.

A 25-foot rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Mayport, an FWC boat crew and a JSO helicopter crew are on-scene searching.
