| Coast Guard ends search for missing boater near Marco Island |

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. - The Coast Guard ended their search Saturday for Jake Larimer, 67, after he was located by a good Samaritan aboard his vessel approximately 75-miles west of Marco Island around 6.pm. Crewmembers aboard the 600-foot Panamanian-flagged motor-vessel, Refstar, located Larimer and safely hoisted aboard their vessel. The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Ocracoke rendezvoused with the Refstarand later transferred Larimer to EMS waiting ashore in Naples, Fla. Larimer was reported in stable condition. A family member contacted the Marco Island Police Department at about 4:30 p.m., Friday, and reported that Jake Larimer departed on his 26-foot deck boat early Friday morning and had yet to return. MIPD officers contacted search-and-rescue watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector St.Petersburg, Fla., and requested assistance in the search for Larimer. Assisting with the search for Larimer were:
