Coast Guard searching for missing swimmer off Jacksonville Beach

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Coast Guard and local authorities are responding to reports of a missing swimmer near the 100 block of 1st Street at Jacksonville Beach Friday.

Searching are:

  • A Coast Guard Station Mayport, Fla., 47-foot rescue boat crew
  • A Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin rescue helicopter crew from Air Station Savannah, Ga.
  • A Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office helicopter crew
  • Jacksonville Beach Police Department
