
MONA PASSAGE, July 13, 2004 -- A small boat crew from the Coast Guard Cutter Venturous, based in St. Petersburg, Fla., searches the overturned hull of a vessel that is believed to have been carrying between 20 and 32 migrants before it capsized yesterday three miles northwest of Desecheo Island, Puerto Rico. So far, 13 migrants have been rescued and one body was located. The search continues for the others. Since Oct. 1, 2003, the Coast Guard has rescued more than 5,400 migrants in the Mona Pass.
