| Coast Guard rescues 5 from overturned vessel in Miami |

MIAMI - Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission crews rescued five people from the water Saturday around 9:10 p.m. after their vessel overturned near Haulover Inlet in Miami. Good Samaritans contacted search and rescue watchstanders at the Coast Guard Sector Miami Command Center around 8:30 p.m. to report seeing distress flares in the Haulover Inlet area. Two smallboat rescue crews were launched from Coast Guard Station Miami Beach, Fla., to render assistance. The crews arrived on scene, located the vessel, and rescued the five people clinging to the 25-foot overturned vessel. There were no reported injuries and the five people were safely transported to shore. |
