| Coast Guard awards good Samaritans for role in Haitian migrant rescue |

MIAMI -- The Coast Guard presented three good Samaritans with the Meritorious Public Service Award during a ceremony held Tuesday at Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce, Fla. Keith Monz, Matt Porter and Anais Roque were recognized for their role in the May 13 rescue of 16 Haitian migrants off Boynton Beach, Fla. The Meritorious Public Service Award, which is the second highest Coast Guard-issued public service award, is given to recognize substantial contributions to Coast Guard missions.
