Coast Guard searches for swimmer off Riviera Beach


MIAMI - The Coast Guard is searching for a woman who disappeared off Phil Foster Park in Riviera Beach, Fla., Wednesday at approximately 1 a.m.

Dawn Roberts, a 49-year-old woman, disappeared while swimming with a friend. Local emergency dispatchers contacted the Coast Guard and requested assistance with the search after Robert's friend reported her missing.  

Assisting with the search are:

  • Boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet, Fla.
  • Helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Miami
  • Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office deputies
