| **Media Advisory** Coast Guard to hold press brief for missing boater near Anclote Key |

Media Note: Media interested in attending the event are requested to arrive at Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg no later than 2:15 p.m. WHAT: The Coast Guard will hold a press brief for all attending media. WHO: Coast Guard Capt. Timothy Close, commander of Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, Fla., will speak to all attending media about updates regarding the search for the missing boater near Anclote Key, in Dunedin, Fla. WHEN: Aug. 18, at 2:30 p.m. WHERE:Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, located at 600 8th Ave. S.E. WHY: The Coast Guard continues its search Tuesday for Mark Portus, a 49-year-old man from New Port Richey, Fla., who was reported overdue by family members at about 6 p.m. Aug. 17. A crewmember from Sea Tow Services International Inc., discovered Portus's boat aground with the engine running with no one onboard at about 7:30 p.m. on a sandbar near the north end of Anclote Key. |
