| Coast Guard searching for 2 boaters off Sebastian Inlet |

The father of Kyle Simms, age and hometown unknown, advised the Coast Guard that his other son received a call from Simms and J.C. Palmer, age and hometown unknown, stating their vessel had become disabled off Sebastian Inlet. The brother took his own boat with a spare battery to assist Palmer and Simms. After repairs were made, he departed and was to meet Palmer and Simms back at Sebastian Inlet, but Palmer and Simms have not returned. Search-and-rescue coordinators at the Seventh Coast Guard District in Miami launched an MH-65 dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Miami, and a boatcrew from Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce, Fla., to locate the overdue boaters. Currently, a Coast Guard HU-25 falcon jet crew from Air Station Miami, a Coast Guard Auxiliary aircraft crew, a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission boatcrew and local agencies are searching for the missing boaters. The Coast Guard Cutter Shrike and Coast Guard Station Port Canaveral, Fla., are also en route the search area to begin additional searches.
