 Jacksonville based Guardian promoted to chief warrant officer

Chad C. Chrisco, a 22-year Coast Guard veteran and native of Madera, Calif., was promoted from chief petty officer to chief warrant officer Monday, June 1, 2009, at Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville, Fla.

Chrisco is currently serving as the engineering petty officer aboard the 75-foot Coast Guard Cutter Hammer, a construction tender homeported in Jacksonville.
  
Chrisco has served the majority of his career as a machinery technician at ship and shore units throughout the United States. Including two tours in Alaska and a tour at an isolated duty LORAN station in Nevada.

Chief Warrant Officers serve as specialty officers expertly trained in a particular rating field.
