Coast Guard searches for swimmer

 

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Coast Guard is searching for a swimmer who disappeared at Myrtle Beach, S.C., Sunday at approximately 1 p.m.

A 16-year-old boy was swimming with a friend when he disappeared. Coast Guard Station Georgetown, S.C., began to search for the boy after the Myrtle Beach Fire and Rescue department called for assistance.

The Coast Guard, Myrtle Beach Fire and Rescue department and a state helicopter crew are searching for the boy.
