| ***Media Advisory*** Clearwater Coast Guard to host search-and-rescue demonstration |

Media Note: Media interested in attending the event are requested to arrive at Coast Guard Station Sand Key by 9:30 a.m. and to Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater by 8 a.m. Please contact Petty Officer Rob Simpson at 305-965-4672 to secure space aboard the Coast Guard vessel. Only one space is available aboard the helicopter, and the position will be filled on a first-call-first-served basis. The helicopter footage must be pooled. WHAT: In conjunction with National Safe Boating Week, the Coast Guard will host a search-and-rescue demonstration and prove the importance of carrying signaling equipment. Media is invited to get underway aboard a 47-foot motor-life boat and one pooled videographer spot will be available in a Coast Guard helicopter. WHEN: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20.
