| Marine Safety Information Bulletin 9 - U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -Sector San Juan Marine Safety and Security Duty Officers are notifying all facilities and vessels in the San Juan Captain of the Port zone Thursday that all ports in Saint Thomas and Saint John, U.S. Virgin Islands are open for normal operations, following the passing of Hurricane Omar. The ports in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands remain in PORT CONDITION ZULU. All port operations shall remain suspended in these ports pending port assessments that are being conducted by Coast Guard helicopter crews with Aids to Navigations Specialists on board and Coast Guard personnel in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Captain of the Port also announced earlier Thursday that all the ports in Puerto Rico including Culebra and Vieques are open for normal operations.
