Coast Guard, Florida Marlins Celebrate Coast Guard Day MIAMI - The Florida Marlins will help the Coast Guard celebrate its 217th birthday during pre-game festivities scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Dolphin Stadium, 2267 Dan Marino Blvd. Before taking the field against the Astros, the Marlins will host a brief ceremony on the field recognizing the Coast Guard's birthday. The Integrated Support Command Miami Color Guard will parade and present the colors to open the game and an HU-25 Falcon jet from Coast Guard Air Station Miami will fly over the stadium. The first pitch for Saturday's game will be thrown to Billy the Marlin by Officer Snook, the Coast Guard Sea Partners mascot. "We're very excited and most honored to be able to share our anniversary with the Florida Marlins, their fans and Major League Baseball," said Lt. Cmdr. Chris O'Neil, public affairs officer for the Seventh Coast Guard District. "The Marlins organization is a great supporter of the military and we appreciate this opportunity to enjoy America's favorite pastime while celebrating the history and achievements of America's Coast Guard."
