Coast Guard, UN Disaster Management Partners Facilitate Disaster Relief Plan MIAMI - The Coast Guard will be participating in a United Nations Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs disaster management exercise that involves representatives from several entities including U.S. Southern Command, U.S. Agency for International Developement and DHL at Coast Guard Air Station Miami, Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Coast Guard is utilizing an HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Fla., to provide static ramp training and a sling-load familiarization demonstration. The initiative is designed to leverage resources and logistical expertise to get critical supplies to an area affected by a natural disaster as quickly and efficiently as possible.
