MIAMI - A Coast Guard crew from Air Station Miami hoisted a fisherman and transported him to a Key West, Fla., hospital today.  The man was reported to be suffering from chest pains 30 miles northeast of Dry Tortuga, Fla.

The 55-year-old fisherman was reported to have symptoms associated with a heart attack and had difficulty breathing since last night.  The captain of the 85-foot shrimping boat, Sky Marie, called the Coast Guard on Channel 16 using a VHF-radio today at 10 a.m.

Search and Rescue planners at Sector Key West coordinated the rescue, launching the Coast Guard helicopter from Miami around 11:30 a.m. Once on scene around 12:15 p.m., the rescue crew hoisted the man and flew him to Lower Keys Memorial Hospital in Key West for further medical treatment.  The man was reported in stable condition.
