*MEDIA ADVISORY* Coast Guard Cutter Dallas returns home after final patrol as U.S. warship

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Coast Guard Cutter Dallas is scheduled to return to homeport at 1050 Register St., Charleston, S.C., at 10 a.m. Wednesday for the final time as a Coast Guard cutter after completing a successful 94-day patrol.
During the cutter's three-month patrol, the crew made one marijuana seizure and one cocaine drug interdiction. The ship also transferred detainees suspected of attempting to smuggle drugs into the U.S., to various law enforcement agencies. The cutter made a stop in Cartagena, Colombia, and several visits to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The cutter is scheduled for a decommissioning ceremony March 30 and will be transferred to the Philippine navy by the end of May 2012.
